P&C News - Term 1 Week 6

Hi Everyone
A letter was sent home this week with details for our first disco for the year. Next Thursday 8 March the Prep - 2 disco will be from 5:30 – 7:00pm and years 3 - 6 from 7:00- 8:30pm. There is a $2 entry fee, food (chips, spaghetti, lollies, cupcakes) and drinks (soft drink & juice) will be on sale. We will also be selling glow products. We appreciate parent help on the night to cook and sell food and drinks. We especially require parents to set up and clean the chip cookers and to cook the chips. The more parents that know how to do this the easier it is to spread the job around. If you haven’t helped out before or are new to the school please consider helping out. It is a great way to meet new people and another way to contribute to our school community. If you are able to help please text me on 0429304291.
We are aware that some families need size 8 chook shirts as size 10s are still a bit big. We are currently out of stock for size 8. As a committee we have decided to reassess the shirt stock situation at each P&C meeting. Our next meeting is March 12.
The P&C have a mobile phone set up as a method to better communicate with parents particularly around the time of P&C events and fundraisers. If you do not currently receive text messages from the P&C and would like to receive updates please text me on 0429304291 so I can add you to the contact list.
Our tuckshop is always looking for more volunteers to work and bake. Currently we require another helper for a Friday. If you are able to work on a regular roster or are unable to commit to a regular day but may be able to work as a back-up every now and then contact Bronwyn in the tuckshop.
Our next P&C meeting is Monday 12 March, 6.30pm, in the library. This will be our Annual General Meeting (AGM) where P&C memberships are open. All executive positions will be open for nomination and members will be elected to these positions. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to become a member and/or be considered for a position please notify the P&C in writing via email
